The role:

The Senior Account Manager will be highly experienced in managing / leading client relationships in digital advertising planning and buying and with strong capabilities in at least one other offline media channel.

Responsibilities will include: 

  • Working closely with clients to ensure a full understanding of their business, digital needs and priorities
  • Working closely with the company Directors to ensure all accounts have a performance & commercial strategy
  • Working closely with suppliers to ensure that the team are constantly at the forefront of industry developments
  • Ensuring all activity meets or exceeds clients performance expectations
  • Manage budgets in line with strategy and ensure that monthly spend is on target
  • Management of junior members of the team to ensure that work is delivered to an exceptional standard, on target and on time
  • Quality control of work conducted by junior and more operational members of the team

Experience/Skills required:

  • Solid experience working in digital display campaign delivery, ideally gained in an agency environment and with strong client account management responsibilities
  • Experience of executing campaigns within other Media channels including Out of Home and/or TV
  • Excellent understanding of wider digital channels and environment
  • Highly organised with an acute attention to detail
  • Exceptional level of English, both written and spoken
  • Strong numerical and analytical capabilities, including use and creation of Excel formula

The main objective of the Business Development Executive is to make targeted outbound calls and follow up on targeted marketing campaigns to make sales appointments for your colleagues to attend.

Key Responsibilities will include:

  • Generating sales opportunities through high volume, targeted outbound telephone calls, working from lists within the CRM system and through following up of targeted outbound marketing campaigns.
  • Conduct basic research on the company and decision-making unit in order to target your approach.
  • Carrying out basic level needs analysis on the phone to establish key areas of interest and obtaining an understanding of an organisation’s communications objectives.
  • Developing and maintaining a high level of understanding of the Company’s product portfolio and value proposition and talking about these in context.
  • Gaining knowledge of the competitive landscape and using this to the company’s advantage to overcome objections and book high quality meetings.
  • Keeping the CRM system up to date with all details of prospects
  • Using CRM information to manage and prioritise pipeline and to target senior decision makers.

The successful candidate will:

  • Have the ability and willingness to carry out business to business calls (previous cold calling experience is desirable but not necessarily essential).
  • Be ambitious and interested in a long-term career in sales.
  • Be a dynamic, confident and target driven self-starter.
  • Have an articulate with an excellent telephone manner.
  • Be persuasive and persistent, yet friendly and personable.
  • Have the ability to take initiative to research contact and organisation information.
  • Be naturally organised and able to prioritise effectively.

This is an extremely rare opportunity for an experienced media agency or client side candidate with exceptional analytical and maths skills to join this world famous consumer brand’s Media team.

The Media & Insights Specialist will be responsible for supporting the planning and successfully delivering media campaigns across key markets in Europe, through data-driven campaign planning, in-campaign performance optimisation, performance reporting and analysis, while keeping abreast of the constantly evolving media landscape.

Role overview:

Media Planning 

  • Evidence-based best in class media plan development across all paid media channels
  • Working alongside Media & Insights Commercial Senior Manager, Media & Insights Manager and the Communication Planning team to build customer journey-focussed plans
  • Working with the media agency and local marketing teams to prepare efficient implementational media plans by channel to meet campaign strategy & objectives
  • Preparing and assisting with the presentation of campaign and channel strategy to internal stakeholders
  • Assist in setting KPIs by channel and market for effective measurement of campaign performance

Campaign Implementation

  • Working with web analytics team, local marketing teams and the media agency to establish tracking of performance in line with strategy
  • Working with media agency and product teams on Paid Search campaign structure, keywords etc
  • Working with communication planning team and external agencies to ensure creative is trafficked and tracked
  • Working with project manager to ensure campaign goes live on time and to plan

Campaign Performance Optimisation & Reporting

  • Work with web analytics team, media agency and external reporting team to QA in-campaign and consolidated reports
  • Analyse performance reports, identifying key trends and root cause where delivery deviates from expectation
  • Determine and ensure implementation of optimisations necessary to drive successful campaigns
  • Assist in presentation of media performance reports to key stakeholders
  • Work with media agency and team managers to identify key learnings of campaign performance to inform future campaign planning
  • Share learnings with product planning & marketing and local marketing colleagues

Consumer Insights

  • End to end management of consumer research projects on behalf of product planning & marketing teams, and R&D teams including taking briefs, selecting appropriate agency partner, and project managing the research, be it focus groups, one to one in-depth interviews or online surveys. This may involve some European travel to key markets

Candidate Requirements:

  • Graduate calibre, ideally with a Maths/Science related degree
  • Commercially-minded, with experience either in a media agency or relative client side media/marketing role with strong data/analytical abilities
  • Strong relationship builder
  • Well-versed in consumer marketing
  • Advanced level Excel skills
  • Fluent in written and spoken English
  • Full working rights for the UK

Package:

The role will be for an initial 12 month contract, with potential to be extended.

Salary will be payable pro-rata, on a day rate, FTE £32-37k (based on experience).

+ 25 days annual leave.
